Part of the water from the Tegorzo torrent runs into an irrigation channel along the left bank of which a number of two-storey water-powered mills were built. These mills, which began operating in the early 16th century, are today no longer visible. The little Church of San Valentino was built next to the channel by the Casamatta family, who purchased most of the establishments in the 17th century, thus creating one of the largest local wool and cloth businesses. The left branch of the  torrent provided water that moved five wheels for milling corn and for the various fulling operations (beating, twisting, squeezing and teasing the cloth), while water from the right branch moved the wheels of the fulling plant belonging to the Gobbato family, which closed down around 1750. The area is accurately represented in a drawing from 1710 presented together with a request from the Giacomo brothers and don Antonio Casamatta regarding permission to divert the waters.

The little church can be reached on foot from the centre of the village of Quero, along a good road that goes down alongside the Tegorzo torrent from Via Garibaldi to Campo.
